UFI Hydrogen is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented lab manager to join our team. The individual will support the R&D manager by focusing on instrument, equipment, and workspace order. Responsibilities include developing methods for documenting, archiving, and analyzing results, as well as ensuring EH&S compliance. The role requires effective collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Accountabilities:

• manage daily laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance and inventory
• coordinate equipment and facilities operational set-up
• support compliance with safety protocols and regulations for a safe working environment
• coordinate hazardous waste disposal and manage MSDS sheets
• support lab improvement projects
• provide administrative support, including handling interactions with administrative units and collaborators, and ensuring accurate financial/technical records
• prepare and clean up labs, maintain inventory, and purchase lab supplies
• manage the maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments and lab tools
• support analytical method development for routine qualification and characterization tests using various instruments

Qualifications & Experience:

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
• minimum 5 years’ experience in chemical laboratory management
• operational knowledge of laboratory equipment, techniques, safety, and regulatory compliance
• organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
• clear technical writing abilities
