Since 2017 the experience of our UFI INNOVATION CENTER in the study and production of filtration materials has been made at the service of the development of new technologies for the hydrogen sector, to mark the path to decarbonization. It’s no longer time to wait, we cannot stand by and watch climate change take place. For this reason, in 2023 UFI HYDROGEN was born, the NewCo dedicated to the research and development, implementation and industrialization of the MEAs – Membrane Electrode Assemblies – strategic component for both water electrolysers for the green hydrogen production and of the fuel cells for the green hydrogen utilization in the zero-emission mobility.

Descrizione della posizione offerta:
The purpose of this position is to support the scale-up and industrialization of MEA (membrane electrode assembly) production for water electrolysis and fuel cell applications.
Key Accountabilities:
- lead process development and implementation activities related to MEA manufacturing, including equipment procurement and qualification, process development and scaling, SOP documentation, continuous improvement, optimization, and production monitoring
- identify and develop new breakthrough technologies for manufacturing and inspection. Collaborate with external suppliers on equipment design and specifications, conduct proof of concept trials, and support procurement, commissioning, and qualification processes
- collaborate with a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team and be responsible for design transfer from research to manufacturing and implementation of advanced product designs
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 1-3 years of work experience in manufacturing or process development, with a demonstrated track record in new product development. Background and experience in fuel cell or electrolyzer production is an asset
- strong observation and analytical skills for troubleshooting process and quality-related issues
- strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in both Italian and English languages is required
