Kaak Ovens & Proofers is seeking a Commissioning Planner, that is, a figure who organizes and supervises the set of procedures, responsibilities, and methods to ensure the start-up of the machine from the installation phase to full operation in accordance with the design intent. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering.

Job responsibilities:

• Coordinate the working group involved in the Commissioning (especially Oven Specialist and Automation Engineer) to accomplish the machinery start up within the timelines agreed with the customer
• Check the project documentation for machine start-up activities
• Organize the activities and resources needed for the start-ups
• Coordinate suppliers for start-ups of specific parts of the plant
• Collaborate with the Automation Engineering Manager and support the Automation team when they are on the installation site
• Discuss with the Engineering Mechanical Team and the Operations Team to highlight problems and anomalies found on site and propose possible solutions
• Monitor Commissioning activities, with a view to continuous improvement
• Promote an evidence-based culture and engineering analysis of machine start-up parameters

Required qualifications:

• Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Preferable but not necessary work experience of 2-3 years in the field of Commissioning, but we are also willing to evaluate junior profiles who want to learn new skills in this sector
• Full professional working proficiency in English
• Good teamwork skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel 20% of the working time
